Clinical and Scientific Perspective
I combine patient care, dental materials research and university teaching in esthetic and minimally invasive restorative dentistry. My work follows one structured sequence: an individual smile design that respects each patient’s face and natural form, a treatment plan chosen from the wide portfolio of treatment options that adhesive and minimally invasive dentistry make possible, and an execution built on controlled preparation, reliable bonding and the right material for each indication.
Patients receive an individual plan rather than a standard package. Dental colleagues receive a complete, evidence-based workflow they can apply on Monday morning. Universities and partners work with someone who researches, teaches and treats within the same discipline.
What I do
For patients
Individual treatment planning for esthetic and restorative needs. Every case begins with a smile design developed around your own face and natural tooth form, then a treatment plan selected from the full range of adhesive and minimally invasive options, with attention to function, long-term care and preserving natural tooth structure.
For universities
Privatdozent with venia legendi at Kiel. Dental materials research, postgraduate teaching and doctoral supervision. Explore the publication record and discuss a project with a defined clinical or scientific question.
For organisers and societies
Lectures, hands-on workshops and live-treatment courses in German and English. Programmes teach the complete workflow from smile design and treatment planning through to preparation, bonding and material selection, connecting case selection, evidence and practical technique.

Clinical and scientific input for dental manufacturers and consulting teams, including education, research collaboration and material or workflow evaluation. Relevant industry relationships are disclosed.

The Esthetic Compass is the approach behind my clinical work, teaching and research: one structured sequence from individual smile design followed by case-specific planning and minimally invasive execution. Each decision is oriented by biology, function and what can be preserved.
A compass orients; it does not prescribe. The case decides the route, and every plan makes one decision explicit: when more treatment is justified, and when it is not.
